Project involves repolishing and restoring existing polished concrete and terrazzo floors at three school locations. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 8th, 2026. Bids are due by June 15th, 2026. Work is to commence on June 29th, 2026, and be completed by July 31st, 2026. Contractors must be qualified and responsible. Liquidated damages of $1,**** per day will apply for late completion.
All work at all sites shall be completed in full no later than July 31st, 2026.
Payments will be based on ninety percent (90%) of the total value of work completed and material in place, less all previous payments. Five percent (5%) retainage will be withheld until final acceptance.
The contractor shall guarantee all materials, workmanship and the satisfactory operation of all equipment installed for a period of one (1) year from the date of final acceptance.
Awards will be made to the lowest qualified, responsible bidder.
Any bidder may be required to furnish evidence satisfactory to the district that they and their proposed subcontractors have sufficient means, experience, and required licenses in the types of work required to assure completion of the contract in a satisfactory manner.
If work is not completed by the specified completion date, there shall be deducted from the amount due the contractor, as liquidated damages, the sum of $1,**** for each calendar day, per project, beyond the specified completion date.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walkthrough will be conducted. Contractors shall carefully examine the drawings, read the specifications and all other contract documents, and visit the site of the work before submitting a bid.
Unauthorized conditions, limitations, or provisions attached to the bid shall be cause for rejection of the bid. The district reserves the right to reject any bid from any contractor deemed unqualified by the district.
