The City of Dayton, Ohio, is seeking proposals for boarding and securing services for residential and commercial properties. The deadline for submitting questions is January 22, 2026, and proposals are due February 5, 2026, by 2:00 PM. A pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for January 15, 2026. The city requires a 25% MBE participation goal. The contractor must provide a 24-hour contact number and respond to emergencies. The work includes securing properties using various methods, removing debris and vegetation, and stenciling boards. A performance bond of 50% of the total contract award is required. The contract will terminate after 145 workdays. The contractor must actively manage the administrative requirements of the contract. The city's standard terms for payment are net 30 days from the date of invoice. The selected contractor must obtain approval from the Human Relations Council (HRC) and maintain active AAA certification.
The contractor shall, within 24 hours of receipt of the nop, begin securing the structures and complete them within the time limits as listed.
The city will, unless disputed, remit payment of all undisputed amounts of invoices within thirty 30 days from receipt thereof.
If, during the oneyear period following completion of the services, it is shown there is an error in the services caused by contractors failure to meet such standardsand city has notified contractor in writing of any such error within that period, contractorshall perform, at no additional cost to city, such services within the original project as may be necessary to remedy such error.
The selection committee will evaluate each proposal submitted based on the following criteria: price/fee schedule, personnel, equipment, and materials, ability to secure structures, references and experience, and Dayton local business.
The qualified respondents will be eligible for the duration of the contract unless disqualified directly from performance or loss of required licensurequalification.
If the contractor fails to meet any of the milestones in the project schedule, the contractor will be liable for liquidated damages for each and every calendar day thereafter until the work for each milestone is completed, unless the contractor timely requests and the city grants an extension of time in accordance with the contract documents.
The city shall conduct a voluntary, recommended preproposal meeting.
