Blending Government Bids & RFPs

The contractor shall furnish and deliver materials when so ordered by the individual community. Deliveries must be made within five 5 business days after receipt of the order.

Payment terms for the town of Needham are et 30 days.

The town of Needham will award the contract o the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for each bid item.

All bidders must furnish proof of a minimum of five 5 continuous years in business.

The town will also reduce the bill for any services deemed unsatisfactory. At no time will penalty assessment be recoverable by the vendor.

From time to time, the town may require the vendor to supply to the town a sample of the materials for testing in order to ensure conformance to the standard specifications.

Questions are due November 5, 2025, at 5:00 PM.

The total estimated purchases within the contract period will be in the order of 393,000 gallons, but the obligations incurred by the acceptance of any bid pricing is limited to each individual municipalitys purchase requirements and material needs for each bid item.

The bid opening is on October 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Sealed bids will be received up to that time.

The contractor shall possess a valid Class A contractors license at the time of submitting bids. The contractor is required to complete a bidders qualification form contractors project listing included in section 1. 3 bid documents certifying that they have met the minimum acceptable experience for performing the necessary work. To be qualified, bidder must have the experience, manpower, and equipment necessary and have successfully completed the necessary work with their own workforce, not solely by managing subcontractors, a minimum of three 3 projects of similar-type water projects with installation of water pipes and appurtenances including setting of tapping sleeves and performance of hot tapping, installation of above ground piping, valves and appurtenances including control valves, and installation of buried and above ground conduit and wiring for electrical power, instrumentation, and control for government/public agency within the last five 5 years.

The engineers estimate is $886,000.

Proposals are requested from companies that have a demonstrated ability to perform the tasks identified in this RFP.
