Proposals are to be submitted no later than 2:30 PM on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Proposals must be received no later than July 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST.

Schenectady County operates a formal purchase order system. Vendors will not be paid without a purchase order. Deliveries must be made within ten business days of receipt of purchase order unless otherwise specified.

Award will be made as determined to be in the best interest of Schenectady County, based on lowest total proposal cost and projected timetable for completion, completeness of the proposal, and proposer's demonstrated capabilities and professional qualifications.

Firms submitting proposals are required to have experience in two or more specified areas and must identify their areas of expertise. The prime consultant must be authorized by the state of New York to practice architecture and/or engineering.

On request only, vendors are required to submit a sample of each item quoted within 72 hours to the Schenectady County Purchasing Department. The awarded vendor's samples will be retained for the duration of the quote.

Any exceptions to the content of the RFP must be protested to the purchasing agent prior to the closing date and time for submission of the proposal.

Proposals received from proposers who have previously failed to complete contracts within the time required, or who have previously performed similar work in an unsatisfactory manner, may be rejected. A proposal may be rejected if the proposer cannot show that it has the necessary ability, plant and equipment to commence the work at the time prescribed.
