The California Department of Pesticide Regulations is seeking feedback on the implementation of pesticide disposal takeback events. The events will be held throughout the state to allow growers, farmers, and agricultural businesses to safely dispose of banned, unregistered, or outdated pesticides. The Department is looking for qualified hazardous waste management companies to provide services for organizing and running these events, including planning, permitting, location setup, collection, and disposal of pesticides, and fulfilling local and state reporting requirements. The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) is seeking information from organizations to serve as delivery partners for state-focused Defense Innovation Onramp Hubs in Kentucky, Montana, and Minnesota. The hubs will facilitate collaboration between the Department of Defense (DOD), commercial companies, academia, and government agencies. Interested organizations must submit a white paper (maximum 5 pages) addressing specific questions about their organization, experience with the defense industry, ecosystem development, commercial technology support, partnerships, and collaboration. Bidders must submit bids on the provided form, including all blank spaces and bid amounts for alternatives, additives, deductibles, unit prices, and other prices. The bid must be signed by an authorized representative and any corrections initialed. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of all addenda. The bid must include all allowances, insurance, and bond costs. The bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope by 2:00 PM on the closing date. Late bids will not be accepted. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. If two or more bids are tied, a drawing process will be used to determine the successful bidder. Bidders may claim errors after bid opening, but must submit original work sheets. The successful bidder must execute the contract and provide insurance documentation and bonds within 10 calendar days of the notice of award. Failure to do so may result in the revocation of the award. The contract requires the contractor to be properly licensed by the city of Pueblo and pay for any necessary permits or engineering costs. The contractor must provide a safety plan for construction in accordance with OSHA requirements. The contractor is responsible for removing all waste and excess materials, tools, and equipment and cleaning the site. Damage to existing structures, equipment, or property must be repaired by the contractor. Water and electricity for carrying out the work will be provided free of charge by the owner. The contractor must indicate the number of days needed to complete each bid item. All work must be completed on or before August 15, 2025. Prior to final payment of retainage, the contractor shall deliver three copies of final documents (warranty, lien releases) to the director of facilities management, planning and construction.
