This is a formal city bid solicitation for firefighting equipment and supplies. Bids are due by June 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST, and will be opened publicly immediately following the bid deadline. Bidders can submit bids either via a sealed envelope or online. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Additional documents required include a bid form, bid bond (if applicable), signature authorization, and potentially other attachments as specified. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements are applicable, and bidders must submit compliance forms. Prospective bidders are prohibited from contacting city employees about the invitation to bid prior to the deadline. Inquiries must be submitted in writing to Ryan Edwards at ***@***. *. * no later than 7 business days prior to the bid deadline.
The delivery deadline is no later than thirty (30) calendar days from receipt of a delivery order, unless agreed upon beforehand.
Payment terms are net 30 days upon providing that goods and/or services described under this contract have been delivered, installed if required, rendered, and/or accepted and upon receipt by the city of a properly submitted invoice via the city's supplier portal.
All equipment must be new and current manufacturer in production at the time of bid opening and carry standard warranties. The awarded vendor shall fully warrant all equipment for no less than 1 year or the manufacturer's standard warranty from the date of delivery to the City.
The city will award the solicitation to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The city will receive bids only from persons/firms shown on the city's attendance list for the conference, and bidders must be responsive and responsible.
Violation of the Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics may result in rescission of contract, permit or licenses, and the imposition of fines and/or penalties.
