Performance work statement ( PWS) tests and certifications of lightning protection systems The contractor shall perform inspection, ohms reading and continuity tests on all lightning protection systems ( LPS) within the in order to provide adequate certifications in accordance with european and american regulations. Inspections, testing, and certification of lightning protection systems ( LPS) must be carried out at least every 24 months prior to the expiration date of the monthly certification. If the installed lightning protection systems ( LPS) are located in inaccessible areas for safety reasons, such as during continuous process operations, they must be tested during scheduled operations suspensions at intervals approved by the COR. Buildings to be certified will be divided into two annual groups, with two lists provided below, which will alternate to ensure compliance with the 24- month schedule.
