This is an invitation to bid for grounds maintenance services at various Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) campus locations. Bids will be accepted until April 17, 2026, at 10:00 a. m. CT, and will be publicly opened on April 17, 2026, at 11:00 a. m. CT. Key requirements include: - Grass cutting, trimming, edging, weed control, fertilizing, pest eradication, and hedge/shrub trimming. - A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visits are required for all locations. Failure to attend all locations will result in disqualification. - Bidders must be licensed under Louisiana R. S. 37:2150-2163 for landscaping, grading, and beautification. - Contractors must have a minimum of three years of experience in required certifications and maintaining areas of comparable size. - Insurance requirements include Workers Compensation, Commercial General Liability, and Automobile Liability. - Payment will be made within thirty (30) days after receipt of invoice, delivery, and authorized inspection and acceptance. Delinquent payment penalties are governed by Louisiana R. S. 39:1695. - Stipulated damages of **** per occurrence/location will be applied for services not completed as per specifications. - The contract period is for twelve (12) months, with the option to renew for two (2) additional twelve-month periods. - Bidders are responsible for checking the LAPAC website for any possible addenda. - All inquiries must be submitted in writing by April 7, 2026. The successful bidder will be awarded a purchase order or contract based on the responsive and responsible bid at the most favorable price. The bid is to be awarded on an all-or-none basis for the base bid to the low bidder meeting specifications, though BRCC reserves the right to reject individual line items.
The bid must be submitted to Baton Rouge Community College, **** Jefferson Highway 326, Baton Rouge, LA ****, on or before April 17, 2026, at 10:00 a. m. CT. The drop-off location opens at 9:00 am.
The bid notice states that payment will be made within thirty (30) days after receipt of invoice, delivery, and authorized inspection and acceptance, whichever occurs last.
The manufacturers standard warranty will apply unless otherwise specified in the invitation.
A purchase order or contract will be awarded to the bidder who has provided a responsive and responsible bid at the most favorable bid price as determined by the signed bid form.
Bids shall be accepted only from contractors who are licensed under La. R. S. 37:2150-2163 for the classifications such as 733 landscaping, grading, and beautification. Contractors shall have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in all certifications required for this contract and have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in maintaining areas of comparable size.
For each occurrence of a service not completed as per specifications and/or the checklist, the contractor agrees to pay the sum of **** per occurrence/location thereof for which service was not provided as per the specifications. This is not a penalty, but stipulated damages.
Mandatory pre-bid meetings will be held at various locations on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Vendors are required to attend at all locations. Bidders are responsible for inspecting any site required for the services and have acquainted themselves with all of the local conditions under which the work will be performed.
Objections to the specifications or bid conditions shall be filed in writing and received by the BRCC purchasing department at least five (5) days prior to the date of the bid opening.
