The city of Pensacola, Florida is seeking bids for a five-year contract for landscape and irrigation system maintenance services at Pensacola International Airport, Spanish Trail. Bids must be submitted by January 7, 2026, at 2:30 PM Central Time. A certified check, cashier's check, or insurance company's executed bond, payable to the City of Pensacola, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the annual cost of the first year is required. Questions must be submitted in writing no later than December 23, 2025. The contract will begin March 1, 2026, and end February 28, 2031. The contractor must provide a performance bond equal to six months of the total first-year fee. The contractor must have a crew of 2 employees working a minimum of 10 hours per week. The contractor must provide monthly water use reports. The city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
The bid notice states submittals received after the deadline will not be accepted.
The city of pensacola issues checks for payment of invoices on the 10th of each month.
Recommendations for award of bids are made to the mayor or city council based on the lowest and best responsible bidder meeting all conditions and requirements of the specifications.
Bidders will be required to demonstrate, as a condition precedent to award, that the bidder is capable of performing all of the terms of the contract.
Failure to perform the minimum hours required under the scope of services for this contract may result in reduction of the monthly amount billed for the hours not performed, reduction in the line item associated with any work not performed or not performed satisfactorily, finding of default, termination of the contract, and any other actions allowed under the contract.
Bidders before submitting its bid on this contract should attempt to visit and inspect the location of the work.
Protests of the plans, specifications, and other requirements of bids and requests for proposals must be received in writing by the purchasing office at least ten 10 business days prior to the scheduled bid submittal deadline.
