Fluvanna County is seeking bids for the installation of a generator and transfer switch at the Fork Union Community Center. Payment will be made upon receipt of a proper and detailed invoice from the contractor after the county's acceptance of the work.
A five-year comprehensive warranty is required for the generator and transfer switch, and contractors shall warrant, replace, or repair any defective product, materials, installation, or services for a minimum of five years from the county's acceptance of the work.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder whose bid is most advantageous to the county, considering price and any other evaluation criteria set forth in the bid documents.
The vendor must have the capability and capacity in all respects to fully satisfy all contractual requirements and must possess a current Class A contractor's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Contractors.
If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract documents and furnish the required contract security within fifteen days after the notice of award, the bid security may be forfeited.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on July 23, 2026, at 10 a. m. at the Fork Union Community Center.
Inquiries or requests for clarification must be delivered in writing via email no later than July 27, 2026, by 10:00 a. m.
Bids submitted late will be rejected and returned unopened. Oral bids, bids received by telephone, fax, or email shall be rejected. Failure to submit all requested information may result in a lowered evaluation or rejection of the bid.
