Latest US Coaster Contracts & Bids

This document justifies the sole-source acquisition of modifications for the Atlas Devices counterweight offload astronaut sensor, telemetry, and electronics rig coaster. The modifications are needed to fulfill telemetry-based suited and unsuited gravity offload testing at NASA's Johnson Space Center. The modifications address critical accommodations for pressurized space suits in Artemis III, improved dynamic system feedback, and adaptation to the Johnson Space Center's space vehicle mockup facility. Atlas Devices is the sole source provider due to their proprietary knowledge and expertise in the design and modification of the coaster system. A notice was published on SAM. gov (June 26, 2025) informing potential sources of NASA's intent to award this sole-source modification. No responses were received. A price analysis will be performed prior to the execution of the modification to ensure a fair and reasonable price. The estimated period of performance is from the award date through October 30, 2025.

The North County Transit District (NCTD) is seeking proposals for a safety culture assessment. All certification forms must be completed and signed. Incomplete or unsigned forms may result in the response being deemed nonresponsive. The bid due date is August 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM PDT. There is an online pre-bid meeting and online Q&A. The Q&A deadline is July 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM PDT. The project involves various consulting services related to safety, including human resources, justice, public order, safety activities, engineering, accident studies, site assessment, analytical studies, predictive studies, surveys, feasibility studies, security, software profiling, impact studies, environmental assessment, environmental impact studies, safety training, awareness, highway safety, boating safety, seat belt safety, CPR, AED training, safety equipment testing, and calibration services.

NASA ITPO intends to issue a sole-source contract to Atlas Devices, LLC for coaster services and engineering support. Interested organizations can submit their capabilities and qualifications electronically via email to the specified contacts by 4:00 PM CST on July 25, 2025. The government reserves the right to not conduct the acquisition on a competitive basis. Any costs associated with preparation and submission are the sole responsibility of the respondent. NASA clause ****, Ombudsman, is applicable.
