This is a modification of a specification for the overhaul of a rescue boat davit on the USS Savannah LCS 28. The work includes providing a qualified OEM technical representative on-site for assistance, troubleshooting, special tooling, parts, Class B overhaul, installation, and operational testing. The contractor must also remove and dispose of system fluids, disconnect and remove the equipment, inspect for misalignment, and submit reports on the inspection results. A Class B overhaul of the davit assembly is required, utilizing specified materials. Installation of the overhauled equipment, system checks, setup, and calibration of encoders and the PLC system are also part of the scope. Troubleshooting and repairs during pre-operational testing are required, along with submission of reports. System fluid replenishment and restoration of the boat davit to operational status with an operational test are necessary. New label plates must be fabricated and installed according to specifications. The weight test is covered under a separate work item. No government-furnished material (GFM) is provided for this work.
