This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for food and beverage catering services for the U. S. Embassy Georgetown's 2026 Independence Day celebration. The event is scheduled for July 2, 2026, with an anticipated attendance of 500 people. The contractor will be responsible for providing cocktail-style food service (six bites per person, five savory and one sweet), beverage service (including bar stations for embassy-donated alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks), all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, glassware, and supplies for setup, service, and breakdown. A menu tasting event is required, with all associated costs to be included in the proposal. Corkage fees for embassy-provided beverages must also be covered. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price type. Proposals are due by April 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time. A pre-proposal conference will be held on April 15, 2026, at the U. S. Embassy Georgetown. The event execution date is July 2nd, 2026, and all setup activities must be completed prior to the event start time. Post-event cleanup and removal of all contractor-provided materials must be completed immediately following the conclusion of the event. The anticipated period of performance commences upon contract award and concludes upon completion of post-event cleanup.
The bid notice states that the contractor should expect payment 30 days after completion of service or 30 days after receipt of electronic invoice at the U. S. Embassy Georgetown payment office, whichever is later. Invoices shall be sent electronically to: geovouchers@state. gov.

The U. S. government will determine contractor responsibility by analyzing whether the apparent successful offeror complies with the requirements of FAR 9. 1, including: adequate financial resources or the ability to obtain them, ability to comply with the required performance period, satisfactory record of integrity and business ethics, necessary organization, experience, and skills or the ability to obtain them, necessary equipment and facilities or the ability to obtain them, and be otherwise qualified and eligible to receive an award under applicable laws and regulations.
A pre-proposal conference, which serves as a site visit, will be held on April 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time at the U. S. Embassy Georgetown, 100 Young and Duke Streets, Kingston, Georgetown.
