The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) in New Mexico is issuing an RFP to retain certified Spanish court interpreters. The initial contracts are expected to begin on or about February 1, 2026. Proposals must be submitted electronically by January 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM MDT. The procurement manager is Jose Gallegos, and all inquiries must be submitted in writing. The RFP includes mandatory qualifications, technical specifications, and business specifications. The evaluation will consider technical and business specifications, and New Mexico preferences. The protest deadline is 15 days after the contract award.
The initial contracts shall begin on or about February 1, 2026.
Payment is subject to the availability of funds in FY26, and subsequent fiscal years, and to any negotiations between the parties from year to year.
The contracts shall be awarded to the offeror or offerors whose proposals are most advantageous to the state of new mexico and aoc language access services, taking into consideration the evaluation factors set forth in this rfp.
The offerors must meet the following mandatory qualifications: be classified by aoc as a new mexico certified spanish court interpreter, new mexico justice system interpreter, or hold a court interpreter reciprocal certification with new mexico.
The procurement code, nmsa ****, **** through ****, imposes civil, misdemeanor and felony criminal penalties for its violation.
The 15calendar day protest period shall begin on the day following the award of contracts and will end at 5: 00 pm mountain standard timedaylight time on the 15th day.
