The deadline for responses is at 5 pm mountain time on Friday, May 22nd, 2026.

Panelists will use the following criteria to rank submissions: 1. A proposed concept that achieves the stated goals. 2. Demonstrated applicant ability to create appropriate artworks. 3. Demonstrated applicant ability to meet project schedule demands. 4. Adherence to the maximum budget. 5. Functionality and durability of the proposed artwork. 6. Professional references.

Any artist or artist teams interested in responding to this request for proposals RFP may complete a proposal in accordance with the guidelines provided below. Respondents may submit proposals for one or all seven benches. Additional consideration may be given to submissions with stated relevance and ties to Summit County, UT. SCPAAB members, employees of Summit County, selection panel members, project personnel, and immediate family members of all of the above are not eligible to apply.

A preproposal meeting will be held on Friday, May 15 from 9 to 10 a. m. The preproposal meeting is not mandatory but recommended.

Applicants may submit up to five 5 examples of past work with an annotated work sample description including a brief description of the artwork, the title of the artwork, completion date, medium, location and dimensions.

All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing through the Utah State Procurement website UP3 Bonfire by 5:00 p. m. on Monday, May 18th at 5:00 p. m.

The project budget is up to $52,**** foot benches are $10,**** each, and 5 foot benches are $6,**** each.

The fire suppression system design, installation, maintenance, service and troubleshooting must be performed by trained, authorized Kidde Fire Systems distributors for the product to work correctly.

The bid notice states that training and TA support must be delivered by June 30, 2026.

The bid notice indicates that the proposed process and timeline will be scored with a maximum of 50 points, examples of past work and references with 15 points, and cost with 20 points. Experience of assigned staff will be scored with a maximum of 15 points.

The bid notice requires vendors to provide the qualifications of the specific staff assigned to the project, including their familiarity or experience delivering training and providing targeted technical assistance in the described content areas.

The bid notice states that budgets may not exceed $15,000, with no more than $3,000 allocated to the HEAL component, and no more than $12,000 for the tobacco/substance use component.
