Moline-Coal Valley School District No. 40 is seeking proposals for trash removal services. Bids are due by 2:00 PM on July 8, 2026. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. The successful vendor must provide a one-year warranty for workmanship and comply with all applicable laws, including prevailing wage and equal employment opportunity laws. Freight and delivery costs must be included in the bid price. The district is exempt from Illinois sales tax.
All bids must be received by 2:00 p. m. on July 8, 2026.
After completion, the vendor will send a detailed invoice to the district for payment. Progress payments may be applied for once segments of the work have been completed. All payments will follow the satisfactory completion of work including full documentation in a timely manner. Billings must be detailed.
The successful vendor shall provide a one-year warranty for all workmanship. Documentation defining the warranty should be provided with the bid. At a minimum, the warranty shall cover: two-year machine and two-year control from the date of installation.
Proposals will be reviewed and considered on the basis of lowest responsible proposal meeting the scope of work for each base bid identified on the bid form. Purchase orders will be the form of agreement and will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidders whose evaluation by the owner indicates to the owner that an award is in the best interest of district.
Bidders must comply with the Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor, including equal employment opportunity laws. The successful vendor will be required to provide within five days of notice of award a sworn statement identifying a schedule of values identifying subcontractors andor material supplies whose contract value exceeds 800. Lien waivers will be required for pay applications.
If the contractor fails to perform inspection, testing, preventive maintenance andor minor repair by the specified time period, this constitutes a deficiency. If the contractor fails to correct a deficiency within 48 hours, this constitutes another deficiency. An accumulation of three 3 written deficiencies during the total period of the contract shall result in a contract termination for cause.
Failure to sign and submit certifications regarding vendor eligibility, drug-free workplace, non-collusion affidavit, and debarment may result in disqualification of the bidder.
