The work involves cleaning exhaust and dryer vents in specified buildings at the VA Medical Center, including kitchen exhaust hoods, dental exhaust units, and clothes dryer vents. Annual preventative maintenance and testing of the equipment is also required, per manufacturer recommendations. Equipment must be UL-labeled and approved for hospital use, and operate at appropriate noise levels. Work scheduling must be coordinated with the contracting office at least one week prior to service.
