Project involves forest health and hazardous fuels reduction near Chester Airport, CA. Scope includes commercial thinning of 6 acres and mastication of dead woody debris on 27 acres. Performance period is October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2028. Quotes are due August 7, 2026. Offerors must be registered in SAM. gov. Award will be to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable, and responsible offeror.
The period of performance shall be for two 2 years beginning on October 1st, 2026 or date of award and concluding on September 30th, 2028.
The value of the commercial fiber will offset some or all of the value of the service work to be performed. Invoices shall be processed and paid in accordance with FAR clause ****.
The contractor warrants that this contract is accepted and executed on the basis of its examination and inspection of the commercial volume material to be removed under this contract and its opinion of the value thereof. Government expressly disclaims any warranty of fitness of the commercial volume for any purpose; all commercial volume to be removed hereunder is accepted as is without any warranty of merchantability by Government.
The government will award a purchase order to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable, and responsible offeror.
Offerors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM. gov) as of the closing date and time of this solicitation.
If the contractor, its subcontractors, or the employees of any of them cut, injure, or removes any government commercial volume, other than commercial volume to be removed under this contract, such action shall be construed as trespass and the contractor shall be liable for damages under applicable state law, up to triple damages.
The contract may be terminated by the authorized officer upon determination that the operations of the contractor are or may cause significant environmental damage. It may also be terminated if noncompliance is found of laws and regulations intended to protect the environment or natural resources.
