The County of Mora, New Mexico, is seeking sealed proposals from qualified law firms for legal services. Proposals are due December 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM MST. The contract duration is for one year, with the possibility of three additional one-year renewals. The attorney will provide legal counsel and representation in various legal matters. Offerors must submit a Resident Veteran Business Preference certificate if applicable. The evaluation will consider mandatory and desirable requirements, including experience and cost. The protest deadline is set after the contract award. The contract will follow the format specified by the county and contain the terms and conditions set forth in appendix b, professional services contract.
The proposal submittal due date is friday, december 12, 2025 by 2: 00 p. m. mst.
The county shall pay to the contractor in full payment for services satisfactorily performed dollars per month, plus the applicable new mexico gross receipts tax, which presently totals per month. The total amount payable to the contractor under this agreement, excluding gross receipts tax and expenses, shall not exceed .
The contract will be awarded to the offeror whose proposal is most advantageous to the county, taking into consideration the evaluation factors set forth in this rfp. The most advantageous proposal may or may not have received the most points.
Offerors must have a minimum of four 4 years of experience providing fulltime legal services to a new mexico local public body.
The procurement code, sections **** through **** nmsa ****, imposes civil and criminal penalties for its violation.
Any protest by an offeror must be timely, in conformance with, and will be governed by sections **** through **** nmsa 1978. the fifteen 15 day protest period for timely offerors shall begin on the day following contract award and will end at 3: 00 pm mst on the date indicated in section ii. a sequence of events, above.
