The Judiciary, State of Hawaii is seeking bids for new checkpoint X-ray security equipment. The contract includes furnishing, delivering, and installing the equipment, as well as providing local maintenance and training. The equipment must be new, comply with FDA and TSA standards, and have specific features such as three-color imaging and AI object recognition software. Delivery is required within 90 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Offerors must be manufacturers or manufacturers representatives with available factory-trained technicians and parts. A local service representative located within Hawaii is mandatory. The award will be made to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest total bid price. Liquidated damages will apply for failure to meet the delivery date. Offers must be submitted on the provided form and include all costs, including shipping, handling, and Hawaii general excise tax. A two-year extended warranty and a one-year full service maintenance agreement are required.
The contractor shall deliver the specified equipment within ninety 90 days after receipt of purchase order.
Final payment under this agreement shall be made pursuant to Hawaii revised statutes, section **** upon contractors compliance through Hawaii Compliance Express, or submittal of tax clearance certificate, not over two months old, with an original green certified copy stamp, upon completion of the contract.
The contractor shall warrant against defects in material and workmanship to include all parts, labor, and transportation for the X-ray unit, two roller tables and any other accessories, for a minimum period of two 2 years from the date of acceptance by the judiciary.
Award, if any, shall be made to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest total bid price to furnish, deliver, and install the specified equipment.
At the time of bidding, offeror shall be a manufacturer or manufacturers representative, shall have available, both factory-trained technicians and an adequate supply of parts for the repair and maintenance of the equipment. Offeror shall list two 2 governmental agencies andor business firms in the state of Hawaii to whom bidder has sold, rented andor serviced, on a continual basis, the manufacturers security equipment. Offeror shall have on staff or arrange for factory-certified technicians who shall serve as the local service representative and shall have a minimum of one 1 year experience with maintaining and installing security equipment similar in nature to equipment identified in the specifications.
Failure to complete delivery of any item in the contract within the time proposed will cause damage to the judiciary. The amounts of said damages being difficult, if not impossible to ascertain, shall be estimated, agreed upon and fixed at the sum of ten dollars **** for each and every calendar day the contractor delays in completing any item of the contract after the required date of said completion.
