Bids are due by August 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM for the ADA Pedestrian Ramps project. The work involves constructing six pedestrian ramps, including traffic control and demolition. Plans and specifications can be obtained from the City Engineer or downloaded from the city website. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bid protests must be in writing and submitted within five working days of bid opening. Contractors must be licensed. Performance and labor/material bonds are required. Work must be completed within 15 working days of the notice to proceed. Prevailing wages apply. A City of Solana Beach business certificate is required for the prime contractor and all subcontractors.

Failure to complete the work within the contract time will result in liquidated damages of $250 per day. For each consecutive calendar day in excess of the contract time specified for which all work is not completed, the contractor shall pay to the city or have withheld from monies due it, the sum of 250.
