Sherman Independent School District (SISD) is accepting proposals for maintenance, transportation, and security general services. A felony conviction notice and criminal background check requirements are in place for employees working on district property or where students are present. Nonresident bidders are subject to specific regulations. Conflict of Interest Questionnaires, anticollusion statements, debarment or suspension certifications, and no Israel boycott certifications are required. Form ****, Certificate of Interested Parties, must be completed electronically for awarded vendors. Compliance with various federal acts and regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act, Equal Employment Opportunity, Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Clean Air Act, and Byrd Anti-Lobbying Amendment, is required when federal funds are expended. The bid includes various line items for supplies and equipment, with an option to offer contract services for each. Shipping and handling charges, and purchase order acceptance policies are also addressed.

The bid will be awarded to the bidder that best serves the interest of the district, considering purchase price, vendor reputation, quality of goods/services, extent to which needs are met, past relationship, impact on HUB compliance, and total long-term cost.
