Bids are invited for fresh fruits and vegetables for the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES and component school districts. Bids are due by 3:00 PM on July 16, 2026. The contract term is from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027, with potential for two 12-month extensions. Vendors must bid at least 80% of the items in selected regions and provide documentation for New York State sourced products. Pricing is based on actual cost plus a fixed percentage markup. Awards will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders on a regional basis.
Bids will be received until 3:00 p. m. , July 16, 2026. Deliveries shall be made up to two 2 times per week, or more frequently as required and agreed upon by the participant.
Payments of any claim or invoice shall not preclude BOCES or participants from making claims for adjustments on any item found not to have been in accordance with the contract specifications.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders in accordance with general municipal law 103, on a regional basis.
Bidders must demonstrate experience, financial stability, personnel, stock, plan capacity, and systems requirements to perform the contract. They must also provide evidence of a multiyear track record and be a participant of the USDA pilot program.
Failure to meet delivery requirements may result in rejection of future bids from the vendor. Failure to disclose judgments or legal findings may result in termination of contracts and other penalties.
Bids which are incomplete, unbalanced, conditional, obscure, or which contain additions not called for, alterations or irregularities of any kind, may be rejected as nonresponsive.
