Kitchen Scale Government Bids & RFPs

Bids are due by 2:00 p. m. , Wednesday, June 29, 2026.

The state shall have thirty 30 calendar days after receipt of invoice or satisfactory delivery of goods or performance of the services to make payment.

Award, if made, shall be to the responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest total base bid.

To be eligible for award, bidders must possess a certificate of compliance from Hawaii Compliance Express at the time of bidding.

Liquidated damages is fixed at the sum of two hundred and no/100 dollars (****) for each and every calendar day the contractor delays the completion of this contract after the required date of said completion.

The contract administrator or his representative reserves the right to inspect contractors job performance at any time and may require the contractors presence during inspection.

A protest based upon the content of the solicitation shall be submitted in writing within five 5 working days after the aggrieved persons knows or should have known of the facts giving rise thereto.

Failure of any bidder to receive any such addendum or interpretation shall not relieve such bidder from an obligation under his bid submitted.

The estimated cost of the base scope of work is 1,000,****.

Bids must be received no later than 2:00 p. m. local time on Thursday, July 9, 2026.

Payment terms extended to the BOCES and districts shall be no less than 30 days from date of invoice.

Contractor shall guarantee all repair work performed to be free of material defect and labor for one year. New parts are to carry the manufacturers standard warranty.

The final selection will be made based on the BOCES determination of the lowest responsible and responsive bidders, meeting the specifications and the requirements of this RFB.

Bidders must document five or more years in the business of providing refrigeration or kitchen equipment repair services and include at least three customer references.

Breach of contract or default authorizes the BOCES to award to the next lowest bidder or purchase elsewhere and charge the full increase in cost and handling to the defaulting successful bidder.

The BOCES reserves the rights to request a representative sample of the items bid either prior to the award or before shipments are made.

Evidence of collusion among bidders, failure to satisfy submittal requirements, lack of responsibility, default or termination of other contracts, illegible or vague bids, or other causes deemed appropriate by the board may lead to disqualification.

Approximately 49 school orders in August 2026 with a delivery date in the first week of September 2026. There will also be a smaller order in November 2026.

Payment terms are net 30 days after receipt of correct invoice or acceptance of goods, whichever is later.

Vendor warrants that all goods delivered hereunder will be free from defects in materials and workmanship and will conform strictly to the specifications, drawings, or samples specified or furnished. This warranty shall survive any inspection, delivery, acceptance or payment by ucboe of the goods and shall run to ucboe and any user of the goods.

The bid will be awarded to the vendor with the lowest bottom line including the bid specification list, preapproved brands, unit price, extensions, and page total.

Failure to comply with the request to list all prices per item on each page in exhibit 1, subtotal each page and bid total on page 6 will invalidate your bid.
