McClellan- Kerr WMA Levee Dike Repair
Levee dike repair project at McClelland Kerr Wildlife Management Area Maintenance and repair of wetland dikes/levees. Scraping/having topsoil from nearby ground and depositing onto the dike to build up elevation from erosion, fill in holes, and beaver runs. Equipment shall be used to collect and deposit materials on desired areas. The levee will need to be packed and shaped to desired standards. Soil must be evenly collected/scraped across the entire unit and no deep runs of dirt borrow pits will be allowed for use. No more than 6 inches deep may be scraped in any one location. Vegetation shall be scraped off the top before new dirt is placed for binding purposes. Access ramps are allowed to be made and used during work but must be removed before completion of project per ODWC personnel. Equipment must be below ground pressure, tracked or rubber- tired equipment. The exact areas for repair/maintenance will be determined by ODWC area personnel based on laser elevations.
