Lot 1: The Red Bag Body Box will be constructed to complete the Type 6 Wildfire Engine build on the 2025 Ford F- 550 Crew Cab XL 4 X 4 Flatbed. This unit will be built to fit around our existing 300 Gallon Pumper Unit 76 Long X 48 Wide X 66 Highz( MA- 758- ****) and to accommodate the Division of Forestry required equipment. General Construction Must be built to these exact specifications. All the topside mounted compartments shall be constructed at a minimum in the following manner: Compartments shall be constructed out of . 125 smooth mill finish aluminum, stitch welded via mig or tig welding processes. The remaining area to be caulked to prevent any leaks. The doors shall close on a bulb type C style clamp on weather stripping ( simple glue on weather strip is not acceptable) Compartments shall be mounted to the body using only stainless steel hardware to the outside of the compartments sandwiching the aluminum wall between them for a clean finish appearance on both the inside and outside. Each compartment shall have a sweep- out aluminum floor fully welded across the jam. Each compartment shall have a 6 x 10 stainless steel louvered vent in the center rear mounted high. A second matching louver shall be bolted to the outside using only stainless steel hardware. Doors constructed out of . 125 high bright aluminum diamond plate. Driver and Passenger- side top hinged, lift- up doors with gas shocks to hold open at 90 degrees. Gas shocks to be mounted to adjustable brackets. The doors shall be stiffened via a minimum box pan rigidly attached to the inner side. The doors shall hinge on full length, stainless steel piano hinge with minimum 1/8 dia. pins installed with only stainless steel fasteners. Door latches shall be stainless steel twist handle style. They shall be installed with gaskets. NOTE: Overall width of boxes to be 95 on a 96 bed allows minimum recess from the rub rail on each side to protect compartment doors from trees.
