Contractor personnel must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid NYS CDL, have passed a physical examination, a criminal background investigation, and have a clean driving record. Drivers must also have passed a drug/alcohol screening and completed safety/first aid training.
If the contractor fails to furnish ambulance service within the contracted time, the VA reserves the right to obtain the service from another source and charge the contractor with any excess cost.
The contract may be canceled, terminated, or suspended in whole or in part, and the contractor or subcontractor may be declared ineligible for further government contracts if they do not comply with the clause addressing discrimination.
