The US Navy's Naval Magazine Indian Island (NMI) is seeking demonstrations of advanced technologies for detecting, identifying, and tracking threats. Vendors must submit a capability statement (no more than 5 pages) including company overview, system description, key specifications, hazards of electromagnetic radiation to ordnance, hero requirements, transmitter nomenclature, antenna nomenclature, transmitter start lower frequency, transmitter max average output power, antenna gain, demonstration plan, installation plan, and point of contact information by July 31, 2025. Submissions are evaluated based on technical capability, demonstration plan feasibility, installation plan feasibility, and vendor experience qualifications. The demonstration will be held at Port Hadlock Irondale, Washington, in a realistic operational environment. Vendors are responsible for all costs associated with the demonstration, including qualified personnel, specialized tools, and equipment, and compliance with safety regulations. This is a sole-source acquisition for a local Indonesian team to conduct research on vectorborne diseases near Marine Combat Training Center 5 (CTC 5) in Indonesia. The justification for sole-source acquisition is based on the unique qualifications of the proposed contractor (Institut Pertanian Bogor IPB University) and the need for a partner understanding Indonesian government requirements for biological research. Market research was conducted, and the selected contractor is deemed to be the only responsible source. The anticipated cost will be fair and reasonable.
