Request for bids for fabrication and installation of wayfinding signage. Bids are due by 11:30 AM CST on July 23, 2026. The awarded contractor will be responsible for the full sign assembly, including signposts and hardware. Communication must go through the contact person. No electronic submissions are allowed; sealed bids must be submitted in original copy. The village reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The project timeline is 90 days after notice to proceed, with final completion by December 1, 2026. Liquidated damages of **** per day apply for failure to meet completion dates. A minimum five-year warranty is required on paint, powder coat, and vinyl applications, and a one-year warranty on landscape restoration. A five-year full replacement warranty is required for signs. Payment and performance bonds are required for work totaling $50,000 or more.
All work, including all restoration, must be completed prior to December 1, 2026. Substantial completion is required within ninety 90 days from the issuance of the notice to proceed.
Payment shall be made in accordance with applicable provisions of the local government prompt payment act. The village will hold 10% retainage on all progress payments until completion of 50% of the contract. Upon 50% completion, the village will reduce retainage on future progress payments to 5%.

Award shall be made to the most responsive and responsible contractor whose bid is determined to be the most advantageous, taking into consideration price and the evaluation criteria set forth herein.
Each contractor submitting an RFB must provide detailed information concerning professional qualifications, relevant project experience, logistical capabilities, and at least three 3 references for successfully completed projects of a similar nature.
Failure to comply with the substantial and final completion dates shall result in the enforcement of liquidated damages in the amount of **** per day for each and every calendar day that the construction and restoration remain incomplete.
Any actual or prospective bidder or contractor who is aggrieved in connection with the solicitation or award of a contract may protest to the contact person. Any protest must be submitted in writing within ten 10 calendar days from the issuance of the solicitation, addendum, and notice of award or other decision by the public works department.
Failure to comply with the terms and conditions stated in the RFB shall be cause for cancellation of the contract. The village will give written notice of unsatisfactory performance, and the contractor will be allowed thirty 30 days to take corrective action.
