orange creek restoration area longleaf thinning timber sale approximately 203. 4 acres sale area within the orange creek restoration area, located in marion county, florida. the sale area is in section 24 township 12 south range 22 east and accessed at **** hwy 318, citra, florida **** 48. 0 n **** 47. 0 w. sale boundaries include roads, wetlands, and stands with natural timber. maps are included in the attached agreement. this timber sale is a marked thinning in planted longleaf that was established in **** to cut and remove are marked with blue paint at eye level. this is not a row thinning. entire rows of trees are not being removed for access due to a high percentage of diseased, defective, and suppressed trees that are marked for removal. conducting a row thinning will take out too many quality trees. approximately fifty percent of trees in the sale area will be cut and removed to allow adequate room for equipment to operate.
