The State of Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking bids for the replacement of cooler compressors at the Big Muddy River Correctional Center. Bids must be submitted by September 23, 2025, at 11:00 a. m. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for September 16, 2025, at 1:00 p. m. Vendors must pre-register by September 15, 2025, at 2:00 p. m. The award will be made to the responsive and responsible vendor who submits the lowest price. Work must begin upon contract execution. The vendor must provide a detailed explanation of any expanded timetable if parts are unavailable within 48 hours. The vendor must comply with all applicable safety, environmental, and building regulations. The pricing is FOB destination, with all transportation, setup, and handling included and paid by the vendor. Subcontracting is not allowed. The contract is contingent upon the availability of funds. The vendor must maintain books and records for three years from the later of final payment or contract completion. If federal funds are used, the retention period is five years. The state may conduct background checks of vendors and subcontractors. The contract must be performed in accordance with Illinois law. The vendor must warrant that the supplies and services conform to the specifications and are free from defects for a period of twelve months. The vendor must provide a certificate of insurance naming the state as an additionally insured.
