Bid for a three-year contract to provide labor, sewing equipment, accessories, and incidentals for the delivery and installation of equipment for the Jefferson Parish Department of Libraries. Bid due October 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Additional requirements for bid instructions have been revised. A new generic bid affidavit is required. Insurance certificates are required within ten days of bid opening. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference. Questions must be submitted in writing via email no later than five working days prior to the bid opening. All bids must be submitted electronically via the eprocurement site (www. ***. *. *). Only bids written in ink or typewritten, and properly signed, will be accepted. Electronic signatures are acceptable. Bidders must provide proof of a secured digital signature. Preference is given to Louisiana-produced materials. Bidders must visit the job site and evaluate the job before submitting a bid. Job site must be clean and free of all litter and debris daily and upon completion of the contract. Flammable material must be removed from the job site daily. All awards for public works in excess of $5,**** will be reduced to a formal contract. All awards in excess of $25,**** will require both a performance and a payment bond. All bidders must comply with the requirements stated in the attached standard insurance requirements sheet. A bid bond is required with bid submission in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Freight charges should be included in the total cost when quoting. Completed, signed, and properly notarized affidavits are required. The ensuing contract may be eligible for FEMA reimbursement and/or federal funding reimbursement. The contractor shall not pay any state or local sales or use taxes on materials and equipment which are affixed and made part of the immovable property of the project. The successful bidder will include a link to the current online catalog master price list or a current catalog and price list of all available items. A quote will be required by the vendor when ordering for the items listed on this bid and vendors online catalog and will include the make, model, and cost of items of all items. Prices for items not listed in this bid will be priced at the current catalog price. New items that are added to the online catalog master price list will be included in the three-year contract. All prices quoted shall include transportation, delivery, installation setup and initial training required, and removal of all packaging, cartons, miscellaneous things associated with the delivery and installation of sewing equipment, accessories. One-year manufacturers warranty to include labor, defects, and parts for the bernina 335 sewing machine or equal. Two-year manufacturers warranty to include labor, defects, and parts for the brother **** needle embroidery machine or equal. One-year manufacturers warranty to include labor, defects, and parts for the brother airflow **** serger or equal. Ninety 90-day manufacturers warranty to include labor, defects, and parts for the juki **** or equal.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, taking into consideration the conformity with the specifications and the delivery and/or completion date.
It is the bidder's responsibility to visit the job site and evaluate the job before submitting a bid.
Written protest must be received within 48 hours of the release of the bid tabulation by the purchasing department.
