Pile Reinforcement Government Bids & RFPs

Bids are due June 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Work shall commence within two weeks of work order issuance.

Payment terms on all invoices shall be net30.

Unless otherwise specified, all workmanship and materials must have at least one 1 year guaranty, in writing, from the date of delivery andor acceptance of the project.

Every contract or order shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, taking into consideration the conformity with the specifications and the delivery andor completion date.

The contractor must have a State of Louisiana Contractors License: Highway, Street, Bridge Construction. Louisiana State Contractors License number shall be on the outside of the bid envelope or entered in the electronic procurement system.

It is the bidders responsibility to visit the job site and evaluate the job before submitting a bid.

Written protest must be received within 48 hours of the release of the bid tabulation by the purchasing department.

Failure to comply with license requirements, submit an electronic bid bond, or acknowledge addenda may cause the bid to be rejected.

The project shall commence and will be completed in accordance with Special Provisions Article SP03 of the Special Provisions, within 170 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed.

Partial payments will be made once each month as the work progresses, based on estimates prepared by the engineer. A 10% retention will be deducted until final payment.

The contractor shall furnish to the Alabama Port Authority a two (2) year written guarantee issued from the date of final acceptance. This guarantee shall cover any defective material or workmanship on the entire project.

The award of a contract, if it is to be awarded, shall be made to the lowest qualified bidder whose proposal conforms to the cited requirements of the owner.

All bidders must be licensed to operate as contractors in the state of Alabama. Nonresidents of the state must show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama.

Failure to complete work on schedule shall initiate liquidated damages, which will be assessed in accordance with the provisions of paragraph **** liquidated damages of division IV, General Provisions.

A site visit will be offered to allow prospective bidders to observe the existing conditions of the project site on the McDuffie Terminal, following the pre-bid meeting.

The deadline to submit questions is ten (10) calendar days before the bid opening date.
