The cryocoolers rated mean time before failure shall not be less than 100,000 hours. There will be a plan for cryocooler maintenance. The cryocooler must be an established commercial product with at least one unit of comparable complexity operating successfully in the field. Experimental or prototype items are not acceptable. The cryocooler shall be a new not refurbished or reconditioned item covered by the original manufacturers full warranty. The use of gray market components not authorized for sale in the u. s. by the proposer is not acceptable.

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is conducting market research to identify sources capable of delivering an interference lithography stage system for the Center for X-ray Optics. The system consists of two stage assemblies, one for silicon wafers and one for optical gratings. The stage system will be enclosed in a vacuum chamber. Preliminary specifications and submission instructions are available in attached RFI documents.
