This is a salvage contract for the purchase and removal of government-owned forest products (pine and hardwood timber) from the Red River Army Depot. Bids must include a $1,**** deposit for item 1. The contract requires the successful bidder to respond to harvesting notification within 24 hours and complete removal by September 30, 2027. Inspection is available by appointment. The property is offered as is and where is.
The purchaser agrees to cut and remove from the sale area all timber designated for harvest under this sale agreement by or before 30 september 2027.
For unit price sales, for contracts of 1,000 or less, the balance of the estimated purchase price is required. For all other contracts, 1,000 or 20 percent of the estimated purchase price, whichever is greater, is required.
The government does not make any guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, with respect to the property as to quantity, quality, character or condition, size or kind or that the property is in a condition or fit to be used for the purpose for which intended.
The bidder certifies that he is is not a small business concern within the terms of the following definition: in sales of governmentowned forest products a small business is a concern that: i is primarily engaged in the logging or forest products industry 2 is independently owned and operated 3 is not dominant in its field of operation and 4 together with its affiliates does not employ more than 500 persons.
If the successful bidder fails to perform to contract specifications another contract will be advertised and awarded.
Inspection invited between 8: 00 a. m. , and 4: 00 p. m. , monday through thursday, excluding holidays.
Failure to properly execute this certificate will not invalidate a bid, but a proper statement must be signed before the bid is accepted by the government.
