The Knox County Procurement Division is seeking bids for residential lead safe healthy homes services. Bids must be received by March 31, 2026. Vendors must register online and submit bids in a sealed envelope. Award will be based on best value. A prebid conference will be held on March 10, 2026. The contract may be extended for four additional years. Vendors must comply with all applicable regulations, including EPA and OSHA requirements. The successful contractors may be required to provide appropriate performance and payment bonds. Invoices must show specific details. Questions must be submitted by March 16, 2026. Knox County utilizes two methods of payment: purchase orders and the Knox County credit card (Visa), as stated in the bid notice.
The contractor warrants that all items delivered and all services rendered shall conform to the specifications, drawings, bid and/or other descriptions furnished and/or incorporated by reference, and will be fit for the particular purpose purchased, of merchantable quality, good workmanship, and free from defects, as stated in the bid notice.
Award will be made to the most responsive, responsible bidders meeting specifications, which presents the product or service that is in the best interest of knox county, as stated in the bid notice.
Vendors must register as a vendor with Knox County, have been a licensed business for at least one year, and possess a current business tax license and a current Tennessee general contractor license or home improvement license, as stated in the bid notice.
Knox County reserves the right, in case of vendor default, to procure the articles or services from other sources and hold the defaulting vendor responsible for any excess costs occasioned thereby. Should vendor default be due to a failure to perform or because of a request for a price increase, Knox County reserves the right to remove the vendor from the county's bidders list for twenty-four 24 months, as stated in the bid notice.
