The Alhambra Unified School District is seeking bids for the Brightwood Hardscape Project. Bidders must submit proposals by the specified deadline and acknowledge all addenda. The district shall pay the contractor ninetyfive percent 95 of the value of the work performed, less previous payments and amounts withheld, within thirty 30 days after approval of the application for payment.
Contractor warrants all work furnished against all defects for a period of one 1 year after the later of the acceptance by the district's governing board or the date of commissioning.
The district shall award the contract to the lowest responsive responsible bidder.
Bidders must be licensed by the state of California and registered as a public works contractor with the department of industrial relations.
Liquidated damages are $1,**** per day for each day of delay beyond the prescribed completion time. Penalties also apply for failure to pay prevailing wages or submit certified payroll records.
Site examinations may be performed during any and all site visits indicated in the notice to bidders, and bidders must fill all holes and clean up the site upon completion of their explorations.
Contractor shall provide physical examples that illustrate materials, products, equipment, finishes, colors, or workmanship as samples, which when approved, establish standards by which portions of the work will be judged.
Any bid protest must be submitted in writing to the district before 5:00 p. m. of the fifth 5th business day following bid opening.
