The U. S. Embassy in Athens is moving from Politia Business Center to the Chancery Building. The contractor will provide comprehensive move services including planning, packing, loading, transportation, delivery, and positioning of items. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for July 30, 2026. Quotations must be submitted electronically by August 19, 2026, 14:00 Athens time. Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted in writing by August 3, 2026, 12:00 local time.
The move operations are scheduled to occur within the performance window between September 14 and September 30, 2026. Moving activities will take place strictly between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm on active operational days. Relocation activities from the external Ampelokipi building (PBC) are designated strictly as weekend-only operations. The specific move weekend for the external Ampelokipi PBC relocation segment remains to be determined TBD within this overall window.
Payment will be made in Euros. Value Added Tax (VAT) is not applicable as the U. S. Embassy has a tax exemption certificate. Payment will be made in local currency by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) within 30 calendar days after receipt of the proper statement. Payment will be made upon completion and acceptance of all services ordered against the contract. No progress payments are authorized.
The awardee(s) should operate an established business with all required licenses and permits and a permanent address in Greece. Contractor employees must be in good general health and free from communicable diseases. All employees must pass a suitable investigation conducted by the contractor. The government reserves the right to deny access to U. S. -owned or U. S. -operated facilities to any individual.
A site visit is mandatory and will be held on July 30, 2026, at 9:30 am, starting at the PBC office building. Participants will then meet at the Chancery office building. The government will allow access to two (2) individuals to represent each company at the site visit. Offerors must email to make arrangements no later than July 28, 2026, 12:00 hours.
Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted in writing no later than August 3, 2026, 12:00 hours local time. Questions must be written in English.
Quotations submitted to any other email address or after the cutoff date and time will not be accepted. Incomplete quotations will not be accepted. Offerors are advised to check their inbox for the automated email acknowledgement confirming receipt of their submission. If no acknowledgement is received, it may indicate the submission was not successfully delivered, and follow-up action may be required.
