This bid solicitation is for a large bucket truck, 37,000 lb. GVWR heavy duty truck cab and chassis with utility body, aerial lift and accessories. Quotes must be submitted electronically through the state of New Jersey's e-procurement system, NJSTART. The bid includes eleven price lines. Bidders must submit a completed specification conformance form. The state intends to make one statewide contract award per cab and chassis. The state of New Jersey standard terms and conditions will apply. The electronic question and answer period has a cutoff date. The quote opening date is January 23, 2026. The contract term is for three years with a possible extension.
The bid solicitation states that unless otherwise noted in this bid solicitation or on the statesupplied price sheet, all delivery times are three hundred and sixty five days 365 calendar days after receipt of order aro and prices for items in quotes shall be submitted freight on board f. o. b. destination 365 calendar days arof. o. b.
Invoices will be processed for payment only after final acceptance of the units by the using agency and the delivery ticket has been signed off by an authorized representative of the using agency. Partial payments may be made for units accepted, if billed separately. Timely payment discounts will be taken if offered by the contractor.
The contractor must guarantee that the vehicle and all its component parts comply with the current, applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards fmvss and new jersey state motor vehicle code regulations, perform their functions adequately, and operate successfully without undue wear or vibration. The contractor shall immediately replace and install free of charge any part that may break or fail by reason of defective material or workmanship within a period of one 1 year from the date of acceptance by the agency.
The state intends to make one 1 statewide contract award per cab and chassis on which the utility body, aerial lift, hydraulic generator and air compressor shall be mounted, based on the lowest group price index for each cab and chassis bid for the group.
The contractor must be a franchised andor authorized factory representative, able to furnish the specified unit. Dealers or agents submitting a quote may be required to submit a letter of certification from the manufacturer whose product is supplied, certifying that the dealer or agent is authorized by the manufacturer to supply the unit specified.
Failure to remit the procurement efficiency program fee timely and accurately may result in contract termination as outlined in the termination of contract clause of the state of new jersey standard terms and conditions.
