This is a formal bid for thermoplastic pavement markings and striping services for the City of High Point's Transportation Department. Bids are due by Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The contract will be for a one-year period beginning July 1, 2026, with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods. Pricing must be FOB destination and include delivery. Bidders must complete and submit a bidder information form, provide at least three references, and register with the City of High Point. All questions regarding the bid must be submitted in writing to ***@***. *. * by 12:00 PM on May 28, 2026. The award will be based on the lowest responsible, responsive bid. Samples may be required within five calendar days of request. The contractor is responsible for site inspections, work zone safety, and traffic control. A one-year warranty is required, beginning on the date of acceptance. The contract may be terminated by the City with 30 days written notice. The contractor must comply with e-Verify requirements and submit an affidavit. Insurance requirements include general liability and workers' compensation.

Payment terms are net, 30 days after receipt of correct invoice or acceptance of goods, whichever is later.
Equipment shall be guaranteed against defects in materials, workmanship, and performance in accordance with the manufacturer's standard warranty, with a minimum coverage of one year, beginning on the date of acceptance.
Award will be based on the lowest, responsible, responsive bids most advantageous to the City of High Point, considering price, quality, reputation, performance capabilities, conformity with specifications, and terms and conditions.
Bidders must provide bidder information, at least three references for similar services, and be registered with the City of High Point. Companies must be established in performing this type of service and qualified to handle accounts of this size.
Liquidated damages for work not completed by the contract expiration date shall be five hundred dollars (****) per calendar day.
The contractor shall perform an inspection of each intersection prior to beginning work and shall notify the engineer in writing of any observable existing pavement conditions that could adversely affect installation.
Samples are not required with the bid response; however, if required later, the bidder agrees to furnish samples of items offered at no expense within five consecutive calendar days after request is made.
Failure to execute/sign the bid properly prior to submittal shall render the bid invalid and it will be rejected. Late bids will not be accepted. Bidders who do not comply with sample requirements will be subject to rejection.
