Electric Substation Construction Yampa Valley Electric Association, Inc. ( YVEA) is soliciting proposals from qualified electric substation construction firms to provide services for construction of a new 69kV to **** substation. This new substation will be built to replace our existing Airport Substation on the adjacent property. This construction will take place over the next 2 years with planned energization of the new sub by November 1, 2027. Retirement of the old substation may be completed in 2027
Electric substation construction Construction of a new 69kv to **** substation, including site grading, concrete foundations, installation of a- frame structures, perimeter fencing, inground raceways and conduits, ground grid, top rock layer, grating around oil containment areas, installation of substation equipment ( breakers, regulators, metering), installation of steel structures and bus work, installation of a new control building, installation of low voltage and communication wiring, installation of 15kv feeder exits, material handling and storage, and retirement of the existing substation.
