The contract is for the fabrication and delivery of portable steel vehicular bridges to multiple locations in Tennessee and North Carolina. The delivery of the first bridge is estimated within 12 weeks of award, with subsequent bridges delivered every 4 weeks. The contract includes optional items, which may or may not be awarded. The government reserves the right to inspect the bridge at the plant during fabrication and before offloading. The contractor guarantees the bridge against defective material and workmanship for one year from the date of acceptance. The contractor shall provide notice of delivery to the technical point of contact at least 14 days prior to the scheduled delivery. Offloading services are included. Delivery shall be FOB destination to the delivery warehouse. Delivery shall take place Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, excluding federal holidays, unless otherwise approved by the contracting officer.
Delivery of the prefabricated steel bridges shall occur no later than October 1, 2025.
The contractor shall guarantee the prefabricated steel bridge and all parts furnished, except for consumables and wear parts, against defective material and workmanship for a period of one 1 year from the date of acceptance, or the length of the manufacturers warranty, whichever is longer.
Qualified bridge manufacturers must have at least 5 years of experience fabricating these types of structures and shall have an up-to-date quality certification by aisc as certified bridge fabrication advanced major with fracture critical endorsement.
The contracting officer reserves the right to inspect the bridge at the plant at any time during the fabrication process. Additionally, a final physical inspection of the prefabricated steel bridge shall be made before offloading.
