The Office of State Procurement has suspended in-person attendance at public bid openings. The project involves the construction of a greenhouse structure, including materials, erection, and equipment. The owner is responsible for site preparation, utilities (water, electrical, gas), and some aspects of the foundation. The bidder is responsible for the greenhouse frame erection, covering installation, equipment installation, and labor. A preliminary walk-through and final inspection are required. Non-prevailing wage rates are used. A trailer drop is utilized. Additional costs may be incurred for soil testing, rock removal, or other site conditions. The bidder will provide stamped engineer prints for the state of Kentucky. The owner is responsible for contacting utility companies for marking of utility lines. The bidder is not responsible for damage to unmarked utilities. The final utility connections must be made within 3 weeks of substantial completion. The startup of equipment must be completed by a licensed electrician or HVAC technician.
