This is a Request for Information (RFI) for market research purposes regarding canteen seating for the Kansas City, MO VA Medical Center. The government is seeking information on the availability of specified products and services and potential sources. Responses are due by July 21, 2026, at 08:00 CST. This is not a solicitation. Responders must provide company details, size status, capabilities statement, and information on product availability, delivery lead times, and maintenance requirements. The project involves providing and installing banquet seating, individual tables, chairs, and stools. The contractor must be able to provide a single source for FFE and installation, and coordinate with the KCVA interior designer. Furniture can be held for up to six months at no extra charge if delivery and installation dates do not align with construction. Contractor employees must attend a VA safety course.
The contractor shall complete the work required under this SOW in 90 calendar days or less from the date of award, unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). If the contractor proposes an earlier completion date, and the government accepts the contractor's proposal, the contractor's proposed completion date shall prevail.
The seating in the canteen at the Kansas City VA Medical Center is failing and has become a safety hazard and infection prevention risk, having been in place several years past its warranty.
All contractor employees will be approved by the CO/TR prior to bringing on duty. Resumes of qualifications must be submitted for all direct employees proposed for the project. Contractor personnel must maintain U. S. citizenship and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Each member of the installation team will have to attend a Kansas City VA Medical Center safety course at the main campus, **** E. Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64128. The course is held every Tuesday from 7am to approximately 8am in Building 6, Room 210.
Failure to comply with contractor personnel security requirements may result in termination of the contract for default.
