The City of Delta is seeking proposals to lease one new, fully equipped, patrol-rated K9 pickup truck for up to five years. The city requires the option to purchase the vehicle at the end of year 4 or year 5. Proposals must detail total cost, vehicle/equipment specs, lease structure, and vendor qualifications. Submissions are due September 9, 2026, at 11:00 am MST. The award will be based on the best overall value.
The proposal shall distinguish, where applicable, between: 1. estimated chassis vehicle availability 2. estimated upfitting commencement 3. estimated completion of upfitting and 4. final delivery to the city of delta.
The proposal must provide the city with the option to purchase the vehicle at the conclusion of: year 4, and year 5.
The proposal shall describe: manufacturers vehicle warranty warranty on installed k9 equipment warranty on emergency patrol equipment warranty on installation and workmanship.
The city intends to award the contract to the responsible proposer whose proposal provides the best overall value to the city, rather than selecting solely based on the lowest monthly lease payment.
Proposers shall provide sufficient information for the city to evaluate their ability to successfully perform the proposed lease. At a minimum, proposals should include: company name and principal business address primary contact information description of the firms experience providing municipal, governmental, public safety, or comparable fleet leasing experience with law enforcement and or k9 vehicles, if applicable identification of the proposed vehicle dealer and or upfitter, if different from the leasing firm at least three references for comparable governmental or fleet leasing engagements, when available description of customer support and account management any relevant information regarding the proposers financial capacity and ability to perform the lease proposal.
