This is a public tender for the supply of new 2027 or newer chassis with 10. 5 or 15 gallon 304 stainless steel dump bodies, custom low mount hitch, and central hydraulics. Bids will only be accepted from truck chassis dealers who are factory authorized to sell, service, and provide warranty support with a physical location limited to Suffolk and Nassau counties, New York. Vendors bidding alternate chassis or equipment brands must submit technical descriptions and color brochures. Wet and dry samples of coatings and MSDS sheets are required if an alternate is bid. The price shall remain in effect for two years from the date of award with the town's option to renew for one additional year. Delivery is requested within 30 days from the issuance of a purchase order. All bids must be addressed to the Town of Islip Purchasing Department. Requests for information or interpretation must be submitted in writing at least five business days prior to the bid opening date.
The delivery requested is 30 days from the issuance of a PO. The bidder guarantees that delivery will be made within calendar days after the bidder's receipt of the order. Bidders are cautioned not to enter asap as a stated delivery time, and a definite time must be stated.
The bid requires truck chassis dealers to be factory authorized to provide warranty support. Vendors must also provide a written statement identifying all major subcontractor mounted components and confirmation that the component supplier is factory authorized to provide warranty support in the geographic area defined as the Town of Islip.

In the event an alternate is bid, the Town of Islip reserves the right to request a demonstration within ten working days of notification. The demonstration will be conducted at a designated location within the Town of Islip free of charge.
In the event an alternate is bid, the vendor shall supply two wet and two dry samples at the time of the bid. Wet samples shall be in steel containers and be clearly labeled to match the stated offering. Dry samples shall be provided on a 3 x 6 tin placard.
Every request for information or interpretation of the contract documents or drawings must be addressed in writing and to be given any consideration must be received at least five business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
Failure to submit technical support documents at the time of the bid shall render the bid nonresponsive. Unsupported claims of compliance, equality or superiority shall render the bid nonresponsive. Failure to comply with a request for demonstration may result in disqualification of bid.
