The bid submission deadline is April 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The town reserves the right to amend or terminate this request for bids.
The bid notice states that all other payments are to be made 30 days after the appropriate town employee receives and approves the invoice, unless otherwise specified in the specifications or contract.
The contracting party warrants that all products sold and delivered to the town under the contract shall conform strictly to the technical specifications in the ITB and bid.
The town will accept the bid that, all things considered, the town determines is in its best interests. Although price will be an important factor in most ITBs, it will not be the only basis for award. Due consideration may also be given to a bidder's experience, references, service, ability to respond promptly to requests, past performance, and other criteria relevant to the town's interests, including compliance with the procedural requirements stated in this ITB.
Bidders must be qualified and responsible vendors with extensive and recent experience with deployment of similar size projects including the installation, connection and configuration of Smart Board flat panel devices and height adjustable Balance Box mounts. Respondents are required to submit a list of three projects, similar in size and scope that they have completed in the past three years, and have a DAS contractor prequalification letter. Respondents are required to use Smart Certified Installers and State of Connecticut licensed installers.
The bid notice states that failure to strictly adhere to the schedule including any milestones and the provisions of paragraph 8. 1 shall constitute a material default of bidder's contractual obligations and entitle the town, in its discretion, to all remedies for default set forth in the purchase order.
While a site visit is not mandatory, proposers are encouraged to visit the site and familiarize themselves with all conditions of the property before preparing their bid. Proposers wishing to visit the site should coordinate with Vincent Masciana.
The last date for questions is April 2, 2026.
