Tree Pruning Government Bids & RFPs

The contractor shall replace any trees that fail to survive or do not maintain healthy condition during the two-year warranty period. All work shall be under the direction and general supervision of an arborist certified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or equivalent state certification. Bids must be filed with the City of Alton before the opening day and hour. No late bids will be accepted.

The City of Alton will execute payment by mail in strict accordance with the State of Texas pay law in each thirty (30) day period after services have been rendered and found to meet City of Alton specifications. No other method of payment will be considered.

The City of Alton reserves the right to refuse and/or reject executing contracts for labor with any or all grounds maintenance contractors responding to this request for grounds maintenance services and to enter into contracts for labor with those contractors that in the opinion of the city are deemed to be the best and most advantageous. Past performance will be a factor in evaluation and award.

Bidders must provide full firm name and address, be manually signed, and state their legal status (corporation, partnership, or individual). Corporations must list the state of incorporation. Partnerships must provide full names and addresses of all partners. All partners must execute the proposal. Individuals must state their place of residence. Failure to do so will disqualify the bid.

Default in promised service without acceptable reasons or failure to meet specifications authorizes the City of Alton to solicit service elsewhere and charge the increase in cost to the defaulting contractor.

Bids which do not comply with these specifications may be rejected. Failure to provide full firm name and address, or to be manually signed, will disqualify your bid. Any threats made to any employee of the city shall be considered a breach of contract. Bidders shall not directly discuss or promote their bid with any member of the City Commission or city staff, except as provided, or such contact may result in disqualification.
