The government is seeking industry feedback on the draft statement of need and draft acquisition strategy for ARES, a cloud-based, mobile-accessible enterprise solution to modernize and streamline air force and guardian aircrew readiness management. White paper responses to the government's draft solicitation industry feedback questions are requested prior to the LNS but are not mandatory for participation. The acquisition strategy involves awarding an Other Transaction Prototype (OTP) pursuant to 10 U. S. C. 4022. The prototyping phase will last approximately three months and include minimal funding from the government ($500,000 for each prototype). The schedule includes milestones for intent to participate, releasing the solution solicitation, receiving solutions, evaluating solutions, awarding the prototype OTP, prototype delivery, and awarding the production OTP.
