The City of Worcester is seeking bids for annual inspection services for emergency eyewash and shower fixtures in public schools. The contract period is from the date of award through June 30, 2027, with potential for two one-year renewals. Bids are due by 4:00 PM local time on July 21, 2026. The award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Bidders must have at least three years of experience in providing these services and be able to submit reports within 30 days of inspection. All inspections must comply with ANSI/ISEA **** standards. Delivery and/or completion is to be made within as required days from the time of notification by the city.
Prompt pay discount 30 days, net 45 days.
The bidder guarantees all equipment, materials, and/or workmanship for a period of one year after final inspection and acceptance.
Awards will be made to the bidder quoting the lowest net price in accordance with specifications.
The bidder shall have been regularly engaged in the business of providing evaluations and testing of emergency showers and eyewashes for a minimum of three years.
If the successful bidder fails to make delivery or complete the contract within the time specified, the city reserves the right to make the purchase on the open market and charge any excess over the contract price to the account of the successful bidder.
Samples of the product to be delivered may be taken by a representative of the city, either prior to delivery or while it is being delivered.
Any prospective bidder requesting a change in or interpretation of existing specifications or terms and conditions must do so within five days (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excluded) before the scheduled bid opening date.
Bids which are incomplete, not properly endorsed, or signed, or otherwise contrary to these instructions will be rejected as informal by the purchasing agent. Conditional bids will not be accepted.
