Oakland County is seeking a contractor to provide fixed-price beautician and barber services, specifically haircuts for residents at the Oakland County Children's Village. Services will be provided to residents in detention, shelter, and/or residential programs, which may include residents with special needs. The contract will be managed by Oakland County Purchasing. The contract term is from the effective date to the expiration date, with potential for renewal via amendment. The county's sole financial obligation is detailed in Exhibit IX. Contractor is responsible for all costs and expenses associated with performing the contract, including providing all equipment and supplies. Contractor employees must be qualified and supervised by the contractor. Background checks may be required for contractor employees. The contract is non-exclusive.
Contractor shall submit an invoice to the county's contract administrator itemizing amounts due within sixty (60) days of performance. The county will pay undisputed invoices within sixty (60) days after receiving them, unless otherwise set forth in the exhibits. The county will pay undisputed invoices, which comply with this section 5. 4, within sixty 60 days after receiving the invoice.
Contractor warrants that all deliverables that are services shall be performed in compliance with all applicable laws, industry best practices, and professional standards. For goods, there are warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and title. Contractor shall employ and assign qualified contractor employees with the necessary knowledge, skill, and qualifications, and possess any necessary licenses, permits, certificates, and governmental authorizations. Contractor shall ensure all contractor employees have the knowledge, skill, and qualifica ons to perform this contract and possess any necessary licenses, permits, cer ficates, and governmental authoriza ons as may be required by law.
The county shall not be responsible or liable for any cost, fee, fine, penalty, or other assessment incurred by the contractor in connection with the contract performance. The county shall not be responsible or liable for any cost, fee, fine, penalty, or other assessment of any kind that is incurred or suffered by contractor in connec on with or resul ng from contractors performance of this contract under any circumstances.
Breach of the e-Verify term or condition is considered a material breach of this contract. Failure to respond to an audit report within thirty (30) business days shall be deemed acceptance of the draft audit report. Breach of this term or condition is considered a material breach of this contract.
